About the Department
Machining is a manufacturing process involving the shaping of metal using CNC & VMC machines.
Position Objective:
The Process Engineer is responsible to Develop, improve and implement end to end manufacturing processes with an aim to meet Global Standards of Safety, Quality & Productivity. The incumbent would provide support to NPD (New Product Development) and Tool Room in the up-stream processes. On the down-stream processes, the process engineer will partner the manufacturing operations team to deliver as per our customers’ expectations, while adhering to our internal standards.
Expectations:
Process Engineers will utilize their experience in understanding the process in NPD (New Product Development), Tool Room and Production. Process Engineer provides solutions to the operations, control and continual improvement in process.
Incumbent will identify process gaps in NPD (New Product Development), Tool Room and Production. This position will also provide the best possible solution to maintain and improve the Safety, Quality and Productivity of the organization.
To work closely with management and all the departments to keep Man, Machine, Method, Money and Material of the organization at optimal usage at any given point of time.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Process engineers improve overall manufacturing processes through analysis and continuous improvement.
Identify inefficient manufacturing processes and work to eliminate them to increase output and decrease costs.
Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output
Perform process simulations with designing team.
- Manage cost and time constraints
- Perform risk assessments in manufacturing process and proactively mitigate them
- Provide process documentation and operating instructions
- Maintain and Improve Quality of the Processes across the organization.
- Create a safe working environment for employees
- Meet the customer needs by maintaining Global Standards and quality output.
- Prerequisites and Qualifications:
- Diploma in Mechanical Production / B-Tech (Mech)
- 3+ years relevant experience in process preferable in a Automotive Industry
